State Grid’s 640 kV Ultra-High Voltage DC Cable Test Platform Breaks New Ground
State Grid Zhoushan Power Supply’s "Guojiao No.1" team has unveiled a 640 kV ultra-high voltage DC cable comprehensive test platform, the highest voltage-rated in China. The platform uses full DC multi-physical field coupling technology to simulate complex marine environments, enabling precise long-term performance evaluations of high-voltage cables. This advancement supports China’s offshore clean energy development and cross-sea grid interconnections, reducing reliance on foreign insulation materials.
